3rd generation of my lamp design. Its looking like each unit will cost around $35 on ponoko but if I were to produce them in house I could sell them at a flat cost of $25 each.

This is the second gen design of my compression lamp concept. The lamp is roughly 12” tall and 8” at it’s widest. It’s made from 2ply chip board and a woven laminate. It’s powered by a standard Hemma pendant socket. It’s a flat pack design so it could be shipped in a pretty slim container. The price is somewhere in the $35-45 dollar range due to materials and time spent laser cutting the parts, but for the DIYer it’s a fun build and a great addition to any home.

FInished prototypes of my salt shaker and pepper grinder set. They stand at around 6 1/4” tall by 2” in diameter. They’re made of bass wood and acrylic. They sit on the base dish which is made of MDF and acrylic. It’s 7” in diameter and roughly 2” tall. The production cost of these prototypes was from around $50- $70 but if these ever go into production I would expect a price range from $40-$50 retail. This was part of a project of Auburn University’s college of industrial design.
